A strange coincidence

About a month ago I had a really strange experience upon going to work. Someone had called the Day Worker Center asking for someone to clean up and remove bushes from their back yard. The person explained that they wouldn’t be able to be there for the job, so he gave the address and left next to the window directions and the agreed payment. He also asked that the worker bring his own tools. Everything was done as he wished. I got a ride from the Center to the house and began to work. The garden had not been looked after, with several rose bushes overgrown and other plants dry and thorny. You couldn’t even walk through it all. Imagine my surprise when while taking out the bushes I found an odd stone fountain, not very big, with a small marble angel very dusty and dirty. I felt a weird sensation. I went on to clean it with water as best I could and finished the rest of the job.

The next day I went back to the Day Worker Center like usual. I saw a friend from the Center, who told me that the employer who had taken him to do some work nearby had said that he needed a helper to finish the job. My friend introduced me to the employer and he took me to work with them, but first they needed to stop by his house to pick up some tools. I was so surprised when he took me to the door of the home right next to the one where I’d worked the day before. I asked him if he knew his neighbor, and he said that he’d never seen the other person although he’d lived in that house for many years. But the unusual and strange thing is that I also never met the person who had hired me to clean up his yard, nor had anyone from the Center’s office. I still don’t know what made me return to the same place. Maybe the angel that I cleaned? …I’ll never know.
